Intragna, Centovalli, Ticino, 2022, competition. Town Hall Renovation:
Centovalli’s town hall, situated in Intragna’s central square, is spatially unorganised. The project reorganises the inside leaving the outside unchanged.
The projects proposal foresees a reception space at the ground floor dedicated to coordinating appointments and directing visitors to the appropriate offices, thanks to a stair body connected to an elevator shaft which allows access to the upper floors and which become an important architectural element inserted within the space.
Each floor is organised using the same logic: divided into three bands, one for circulation, one for service spaces and the last, on the main facade, for the offices. In the north the current rooms are maintained, which become multi use or to be used for meetings, as a “historic” trace of the original construction.
