Calezzo, Centovalli, Ticino, 2004. New Family House Renovation:
It is a residential building that was previously heavily renovated in order to emphasise the rustic status of the building.
The functional and aesthetic requirements of the family had changed over time and more simplicity and uniformity had to be given to the construction. The interventions therefore mainly involved aesthetic cleaning, removing all those additional elements and replacing them with more modern elements and materials.
The functionality of the living area was changed by reversing the kitchen and living room spaces. The specially designed kitchen cabinet has doors that can be fully opened for better use of the work space, while when closed it becomes a piece of furniture.
