Intragna, Centovalli, Ticino, 1996. Building Conversion into Museum:
With a belief in safeguarding the local building tradition (both in form and in the use of materials), this challenging intervention saw the recovery of ancient openings and the transformation of some portions of the structure for educational purposes.
These include part of the stone roof and an illuminated chimney that is visible inside. In the attic there is an additional exhibition space with a combination of antique and modern furnishings. Particularly interesting is the opening of a skylight, which allows an impressive view of the bell tower, the highest in Ticino.
