Monti di Sceresio, Val Resa, Ticino, in corso. Masterplan for the requalification of a mountain settlement, restauration of nine rustic structures:
The location of Sceresio, a town of composed of two centres, situated above Locarno within Val Resa’s nature. Accessible only by foot, Monte Sceresio finds itself located in one of Switzerland’s sunniest locations and offers a extraordinary view of the Lake Maggiore.
The project was born from the initiative of the Terra Incognita association, which revitalises forgotten locations. It creates a connection between the town and a minimalist form of life. The primary objective of the project is the recovery of the two abandoned town centres giving life to a structure which welcomes the association’s activities. The intervention focuses around the arrangement of a master plan which studies the revitalisation and the link between the two town centres and their infrastructure. Additionally, the restauration of a total of 9 rustic structures is planned which will be developed in succession, starting as of 2024.
